Aircraft Spirals Wildly into Palm Groves at Popular California Coast
A chopper hovering over a well-attended coastal beach unexpectedly began spiraling uncontrollably, eventually descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm trees as beachgoers observed.
Recordings posted on the internet capture the chopper commencing to spiral near Huntington Beach then falling near the edge of the beach, where it becomes wedged between palms and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders stated five persons were rushed to the hospital comprising two individuals who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three persons on the street were harmed. Information on their wounds were still under review.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
